The Shiki Limited Company, which has been involved in activities ranging from mountain logging and lumbering to construction since the Meiji Era, has changed its business and is now running the Shiki Café SHIHKI. This café hosts lively events, including live drawings using fine wood, in front of Tamamizu Station in Ide-cho, Kyoto Prefecture.
The company continues to sell rare wood today. The event will be held at SHIKI’s second site, Veracity House, which is attached to a gallery of rare woods, including South Sea timbers that are so rare they cannot be sawed through.
There will also be sales of original products by Mitsuhiro Arita. Please note that no autograph requests will be accepted. #NONPOKE

I am thrilled to attend SDCC, widely regarded as the pinnacle of pop culture conventions. I am grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with Sakai and his IP Usagi Yojimbo, illustrating covers that have opened many doors for me in the comic book industry. I have several covers coming out with Marvel, and my first TMNT cover will debut at the convention.”

The sketch will be drawn inside the cover of my sketchbook, “GOUACHE.” It’s a 5-7 min quick drawing based on my inspiration.
There is an upgrade option. You can choose a Shikishi or Blank Comic Cover for the sketch with this option. It’s a 10-15min drawing with the shading with Copic marker.
